Dr. Cynthia Mercado has been in private practice for over 17 years. She started working, at age 13, with her father Dr. O.A. Mercado who is also a Foot and Ankle Specialist. This allowed her to learn all aspects of running a successful private clinic. She is Board Certified in Foot Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. She has a special interest in leadership and business development; as well as promoting her program 1-2-3 Save Limbs. This program trains Diabetic patients to save their own legs.

Socorro Nava, Clinic Manager
Clinic manager for Mercado Foot and Ankle Clinics in Berwyn
Socorro has been working in the medical field for over a decade and current holds the position in Account and office Management. Her prolific managerial skills include, but are not limited to the following: authorization/pre-certifications, scheduling surgeries/appointments, verifying eligibility and claim statuses. She is also familiar with the MediSoft software and with its data entry capabilities. Also, she utilizes Zirmed for the purpose of electronic claim submissions.
On the other hand, she brings great customer service and knowledge to our patients. She takes the time to answer any questions regarding insurances, treatment plans, and complicated surgical procedures in both English and Spanish.

Betty Burns, Receptionist
Receptionist for Mercado Foot and Ankle Clinic in Berwyn
Betty is the office secretary. She also does data entry with the MediSoft along with the billing on Zirmed software. Her previous experience in other Physicians offices makes her a great asset to the clinic.

Debbie Medina, M.A., C.N.A, Volunteer and Business owner
M.A., C.N.A, and Patient Care Coordinator
Debbie is Dr. Cindy Mercado's medical assistant. She manages our patient care time, as well as volunteers as a case manager for LIDERr. Nancy Rodriguez, President of LIDERr, is a specialist in diabetes. She operates an excellent Diabetic program. This program is geared to prevent, reduce and educate the general population about the risk of diabetes.
